    What are the gauges for? Temp and Pressure? Just wondering because it looks like two of the same gauge relatively close to each other. Would one do?

    Temperature only, and one is on supply, other on return side.
    Customer wanted these to check his own D/T as he was not comfortable fiddling with the display board.

    I just installed one this week, my first, quite an interesting unit. The closeness of the piping underneath caused me to mumble a few curses a few times. And the directions for the Smart-40 being spliced into the indirect wiring kit, an option, were not too clear. A nice boiler, but time will tell. Any suggestions for simplifing the install or what might be added to improve the job? I did not use the primary/secondary circut, per TTs suggestion, due to large existing pipes, low head/high mass.

    Kudos Jim, and I also had some "prime words" over those bottom piping connections.
    If the system is copper that`s what I use, if BI then I use that.
    I usually pre-install couplings or CXFe adapters(undoing inner HX connctions to do so), at my shop first, then install the service unions after my bottom drain tees on the jobsite as I find they are tough to get-at otherwise.
    95% of the time, you will be fine without P/S, but watch for that 5% margin!
    They really are a good outfit, and I`m confident time will prove that.
    TT factory support has been very, very helpful to me anyway.
    Good Luck with the product, as I said, I`m sure you wont be disappointed.

    PS- If you try my method, take-note of those small HX connection gaskets!
    Don`t ask how I knew that LOL.
