buzz in amtrol control

in THE MAIN WALL
They make two versions 1 with a smart control and 1 with an aquastat.

I prefer the version with a standard aquastat and will changeout any smart control with an aquastat if the customer agrees

    buzz in amtol indirect water heater control

    a customers amtrol indirect water heater control is at
    times buzzing, does not look like a servicable item, the unit ran fine while i was there (except for buzz) but he said it has been attempting and failing to start at times
    but not while i was there,any thoughts.

    Time to change it. Those smart controls sometimes aren't very smart at all. I changed mine to an aquastat.

    We don't have many

    We don't have many Amtrols in the customer base but we have enough to justify stocking a Smart Control.

    Smart Control

    Every Boilermate I installed I had to replace the control,I will never sell another Amtrol again.
