I like the M&M "Uni-Match" units since the valve is brass rather than iron, and so won't rust up.
Also check the main vents, and make sure they're working and sized properly. Use the Gill/Pajek charts for this, you can get them on the Books and More page of this site.

I went out on a call for a new steam boiler. The exisitng steam boiler was at least from the 50's. The system is a one pipe system gravity return through the supply piping. the boiler has a Hartford Loop on it. There is a Mcdonnell Miller 67 LWCO on hte boiler. My question is: Should there be a make up water feeder on this boiler also?0
