    Thanks Clammy

You are one of the many Wallies I took my inspiration from.

I think we both are walkink away with the deal of the century!

That draft hood had a label on it like it was pre made, and I know I have seen something like it in our local distributors catalog. It was quite heavy, so I know it had to have been machine madeand welded.

    Great looking job

Glen, nice JOB! The piping looks great, the shut offs for servicing, the venting, etc... Thank you for showing what pride in a job can result in.

    Design work

First little project was replace 3 multi story school building heating systems with original 1920-30's steam, rotten pipe, cobbled repairs, and no control. Designed the piping for (1) condensing boiler and (2) Cleaver-Brooks main boilers (redundant). The condensing boiler (450,000) is keeping everything hot for now. They tried to set up the main boilers last week and the poor librarian on the 3rd floor was complaining about 90+ in her room. I'm also doing duct and rooftops. Cheap-cheap.

    Eric,

    Glad you like my work.

Yes I di put the purge valves on the supply side, and I had no problems with reverse purging each loop. I have seen systems piped both ways. The only time this wouldn't work is on a monoflo tee system.

We (Wayne and I)have put in three GB142's in the last three weeks, which also happens to be the first three either of us have dealt with. They are all multi zone installs, the first had two zones, the second had three, and this one had four. We installed the RC 10 controller on all three, and so far there have been no complaints, except from the first install because he wants to keep the lower level zone at 65 most of the time, and then turn it up to 70 when the grandkids come over. He just has to get to the fact that response to a suddeen change in temperature in this zone will take more tiome than it used to, or he has to sacrifice some efficiency of the boiler by having it set on one fixed temperature. He decided he can live with the slow response to maintain the upper 90% eff rating. We will see what happens as we get deeper into winter.

    reverse purge *~/:)

it is nice when a person has an answer:) it is so good of an answer that it needs to stop and roll around the brain cell a bit *~/:) plus a picture speaks a thousand words vs explaining it piece by piece....am off to work...Great job Glenn.
