re-pipe steam header

Two 2" risers into new 3" header. I would like to place new header on opposite side of boiler from risers, giving me about 10" of horizontal pipe on each riser. Is there a max trouble free distance? This will also place the equalizer opposite to existing hartford loop. No need to change if I can pipe straight down from header and then over 10" to existing tee on loop. Would this create a problem? Thanks for your reply.

repipe steam header
yo might want to condider a drop header on your boiler repiping looks cool0 -
But,
drop header or not, he's asking how long the horizontal legs can be before AFTER the 24" A dimension is achieved, before arriving at the header and equalizer, w/o trouble. I can see the piping in my head, just don't know the answer.0
