boiler piping correct way

ok we are having an argument on this so let me have some feed back on a hot water boiler that maintains temp and u install a flo-check valve can itb before the air scoop with the exspansion tank located there also i thought it had to be air scoop then the flo-check my buddy says the expansion does not matter unless there is zone valves so which is it or either way ok ????

    The flow check wants to go at the outlet of the circulator.

    The expansion tank connection wants to be at the suction (inlet) side of the circulator.

    The air scoop is also best installed at the inlet of the circulator, the fact that most have provisions to install the expansion tank there is no small coincidence and certainly is convenient.
