Sometimes its all people can afford and it seems like it is the boiler of choice for condo developments around here. If you have to have a steel boiler it is the one I would use.

    dry base boilers

    looking for feedback on New Yorker APU oil-fired dry base hot water boilers. Any experience with these- good, bad or otherwise will be appreciated.

    In this day and age

    In this day and age there are a lot more efficient boilers out there. That particular model tends to have high stack temps and the CO2 reading drops as the unit ages. I never cared for them and I service many brands. I always thought of them as a contracter grade boiler.

    Contractor Grade

    Tract Housing Building Contractor, to be specific, I hope.
    I can't see a conscientous heating contractor putting in one of those things today. Not specifically New Yorker, but the boiler type.
