Honeywell L8148A w/ multiple circulators

by making sure that the R845 brings in the TT circuit on the 8148A.

Another way is to wire terminal #5 from the 845 to the B terminal on the high limit on the 8148A and the #6 terminal to B2. That will also insure that the high limit is in the circuit when your new zone cals. Either way is acceptable.

I have a Weil-McLain WGO-2 boiler which came with a Honeywell L8148A controller. I added a zone and another circulator and was wonder what I need to do to tie in the new zone and circulator. The L8148A does not have the ability to control another zone and circulator, can add the R845 Relay to the L8148A for the new zone/circulator? Or should I use a different controller?

Per the Honeywell website it appears that I can add the R845 to the L8148A. Look at page 5 of the following link:

    Thanks,

    Thanks Tim,

One last question. If that is the case then I would assume that you have to use an 845 for each circulator, old and new. Now the existing 8148A is only controlling the burning.

    Correct....?

    Thanks again,

  • If you wire the

new zone R845 through the high limit on the L8148 you can leave the existing circulator off the 8148 alone and wire your new zone circulator off the R845 much easier as it is only simplier wiring involved.
