good friend of mine, just got back from military service in iraq, is having boiler troubles. since i installed my own, i guess im his only hope.
contractor came out and told him its his fan, and due to the boiler being older ('85), he was told the parts are unavailable, and the new fan will have to be specially made, and will cost $600+.
im a bit of a mcguiver (a lot actually)
im tempted to rebuild his fan motor....or ask y'all if you can get me one.
boiler is a burham, he says the only markings are pxg-2005a-wnih.
the fan info is as follows:- amtek 44343-1
any body got a source for a fan motor, or parts to rebuild it

Inducer fan assembly
I think the part # is a Burnham 8116068. You may want to check with Burnham distributor to see if this is a good #. I found the # on Burnhams website. Maybe Glenn Stanton will chime in and verify # and maybe know if still available. Happy holdiday's. Tim0 -

The fan assembly for the XG-2000 series boilers is still available through a Burnham Distributor. The Burnham part number for the assembly is #6116056 and is still used today on the Revolution model boilers. It will come with new gaskets as well.

That was the XG-1000 boiler that shared components with the Spacemaster. The XG-2000 series was a floor mounted boiler that was redeveloped into the Revolution boiler.

Mr stanton, first thanks for your help....i just checked the burnham page, found the xg2000 listed under obsolete units, and found this:
8116045 Blower SC7.1AG1244
do i need this?.....i could not find the #6116056 you mentioned.
oh, and any idea where i call to get parts in utah?
thanks again0 -
my bad...
thanks for setting that straight!0 -
Phil
The number you found on the website is just a blower and does not include the gaskets neccessary to change it. The 6116056 part number is a blower with gaskets included in the box. You cannot get just motors for these blower assemblies. You can call our representatives in Salt Lake City, TMS Inc., and they can point you in the right direction in obtaining one of these.
