Do the new lines have grade up where you offset them. If there is any place you can get an air pocket it probably wont flow.

    Radiator won't stay hot

    I have a customer who cut an opening (30" door) from his 1st floor to his garage. There was two 1/2" heating lines in the center of the opening. We offset the lines & reconnected to existing radiator on 2nd floor. This is a 2 zone monoflow system. The problem is the walls are closed & the radiator never stays hot. How can I get this radiator to work?

    I am not sure the man who off-set these lines no longer work.s for me. I would have to say no

    Is there a monflo at each end?

    If you don't already have 2 monoflos in place, that might help make up for the added branch head of the offsets and possible heat traps. Does the rad have a vent and was it bled? You can't normally purge monofolo systems. Actually, is the rad above or below the main just so we aren't assuming anything here...

    It's what every contractor loves to hear, it's tear-out repipe time. Mono-flow systems can be differant animals and ned constant pitch to the rad. Any high spots will come back to haunt you like I'm afraid you're about to find out.

    T direction

    the same direction as all the others one acts as a scoop the other as a venturri. With luck that might solve your problem if the pockets aren't to bad.
