generally , there are no hidden domestic hot water requirements.

do yourself a favor go with the three pass boiler.

there are a number of them, one is the Eutectic from Slant-Fin.

prioritizing is an elegant solution for you.

    A few questions

Hello Wallers I have been lurking for a while and I learned alot. I have a old repco boiler with a newer beckett afg burner in it vented thur a chimney. The system is a series loop on a single zone. I want to split that into 2 zones. and add a zone in the basement. I also want to add another zone for an indirect fired domestic hotwater heater. adding the zones and all piping is not a problem for me. I did the heatloss calulations and it shows about 90,000 btus. I wouldnt need a big water heater the house has one bath I was thinking a 40 gallon is fine. I have no problems keeping up with and repairing the peerless boiler with beckett afg in my rental house so I would like a boiler that is easy for me to fix etc. I would like it to be efficent but yet stupid simple for me to clean and repair. My rental has been serviced by me for the last 8 years and the tech who i have run a combustion check every once in awhile only does min adjustments and tells me im doing a great job.
So i would like to know what size boiler should I get since im running an indirect hotwater heat to?
I would also like to hear which boilers you guys like? keep in mind what i noted above and I will be using a beckett burner since I know how to set, repair them.

Thanks for all your help Mike

Thanks I didnt think you had to add more btu for the indirect water heater i wasnt sure.
The three pass boilers are nice but I want somthing that i would be able to service and I was told three pass boilers are to hard to work on without combustion testers etc. Im thinking about another peerless a crown or burnham.
