Is the R2107 capable of 160* DHW. I would like to run it high and mix it down. Looking at the operating instructions for the R2107, I found the following - The factory setting is 140* and the range is from 86-140*F. Are there any techs/H.O.'s using the R2107 for 160* dhw? Thanks.

I think if I remember right you need to get a diferent 10K ohm sensor to bump up to 1600 -
Scott, How do you get the R2107 to produce 160* dhw? Thanks.0 -
Weak point
I have been unable to use that control on a couple Buderus installs when I really wanted to just for that reason. Both were small commercial applications and needed 160+ for sanitizing equipment. I wish they would do something that would enable higher DHW temps with the 2107.
I've heard of installing the extra/different resistor but I'm leary of modifying factory controls that way.0 -
high dhw temp partially defeat mod-con benefit?
hi--excuse my layman ignorance on this side point to your discussion. Does not having to maintain DHW to 160 deg. let's say in the shoulder season when a mod-con might otherwise be maintaining supply temps let's say 120-140 deg or lower negate those lower supply temps? (I know the 160 deg. DHW temp could be set to only be during high usage times, but still...)
Thanks,

I jumped to quick
Sorry Rich, I mis-understood the your question. You are correct in that the high limit is set at 140.

All the mod/cons that I've seen fire up to there high limit regardless of what hte tank temp is, whenever there is a call for hot water, it fires at 100 percent capacity.0 -
Contact Buderus
They will tell you how to do this and provide you with a factory drawing.
