using a reset on a new gas hydrothrm boiler is it worth or not? what's the pro and con?

I assume you mean an outdoor reset??? In most case it is very beneficial to use outdoor reset. You didn't describe your system or you ideas for controlling it, so there might be some unknown reason not to use a reset control, but I can't imagine what. Just make sure you protect your boiler on the low end of the temperature scale.
