White stuff over front of boiler

in THE MAIN WALL
I went to look at a little radiant addition and saw a white powder on the front of the boiler (old Peerless) around the inspection port and up the front of the jacket, also seems to be inside the firebox as well. What is this? What remedy?

    If the boiler has been

    agitated and alternately euphoric then violent or if your boiler is a DeLorean, I would suspect cocaine.

    It well could be asbestos depending on the age of the boiler. The inspection ports often had asbestos rope although nowadays they use a ceramic fiber. If it is suspected asbestos call a pro for specific advice.

    If there is a downward pattern to it, it may be minerals from a chronic drip too.

    a cast iron boiler connected to radiant?

    flue gas condensation is known to produce the white powder you may be seeing.

    Any boiler return temperature protection?

    Currently no radiant connected only fintube, no return temp protection, 100 Series B&G pumping back to the boiler.
    The white stuff seems evenly distributed like it was coming out as as gas from the firing chamber.
