check at Flat Plate on the internet ..it is a simple program.


Taco has a X block. it is like the RMB all in one package with a "Brain' .

it is a product of choice with me...on certain size systems within certain parameters....once again Flat-Plate is the simplest of programs to utilize...

    I have a 10 zone system consisting of 7 zones radiant, 2 dhw tanks, and 1 hot water coil needing glycol to prevent freezing. I would like prefer not to mix glycol with the whole system for the sake of protecting one small zone from freezing, has anyone tried to isolate a zone with a heat exchanger for this purpose? This would allow me to cryotek one zone. Any thoughts, good or bad idea

    Yes, remember you will need

    another expansion tank, circulator and iso flanges, relief valve, air purger, heat exchanger and maybe a low water cutoff in the event of a leak. Add up the cost difference, parts and labor you may be better off with glycol in the whole system.

    Johnstone Supply has a special on the Taco Mix Blocks, just under a grand. That would be a simple way to accomplish this and get reset control.
