ICE MELTside walk, what to do

Hello, I need to heat some side walk for my own building. I'm pretty sure the excavator has never done this; the only time i did it was for a GC a few years ago and everything was just fine.
Is there some do's and don'ts as far as setting the concrete base, insulation, etc? The simple goal is to have the side walk stay in place.
Thanks for any tips.
Gary

Just follow the mfg cut sheet
Viega says just how they want the prep. I have used a staple gun for insulation board. Make sure the staples match the board thickness you usually want one size larger than the thickness of the board and you fly.
Cement or pavers are easy, asphalt is tougher.
Good Luck
