ventless space heaters

in THE MAIN WALL
have questions about these ventless space heaters that are on the market, how do they work and how safe are they. Charmglow markets one model cgn300tq sold by home depot this is a natural gas model.

    smell of winter is in the air....I DO NOT recommend these at all...."they" say that they are ok but...not in my house....no CO for me thanks.kpc

    I thi k they are ok for a garage or something that has ALOT of make up air, in a tight house? no

    I don't like ventless fireplace log sets either. Open the damper and vent the exhaust gases.

    I'm with Kevin on this one !!

    You are burning a fossil fuel you are going to have fumes and co it has to go somewhere, not in my house !!

    These are ILLEGAL in some areas

    and should be illegal everywhere. Check with the AHJ in your area to be sure.

    Went to visit a friends grand parents and there was one of the ventless heaters in their sitting room. I smelled it as soon as the door opened. It was installed years ago.I went to the shut off shut it,went to my vehicle got a cap and took the flex line away. They were pissed. We ran a duct from the main system for heat. Grandma is no longer hacking her brains out.-I agree these need to be gone
