What type of resistance is good on the winding of a compressor. Besides an obvious burnout or a blown Capacitor how do tell if the compressor is good.

That is a very open ended Q!BUT,besides using the comp's guide book which gives you the winding resistance,a very GENERAL "rule of thumb" is on 1ph;c-r + c-s =r-s; on 3ph 1-2,2-3 ,1-3 should all be the same.While a cap is not part of the windings,it does affect the comp in several ways and should be treated as external and seperate from the windings .0
