What are your thoughts on this?
I have the choice of using a wirsbo tstat model A3030101 for the radiant and a regular stat for the cooling or should I use the regular digital heat/cool stat for both?
Is there any advantage to using that A3030101?

Uponor Stats
I think the 101 has a .5 degree diff. which Uponor says is compatible w/ radiant floor heat. The A3030102 is the same stat in a heat/cool model. I've never used one but I assume it has RC and RH terminals. Since it seems you don't have a slab sensor any heat/cool stat will do the job. If you have a sensor go with Uponor A3040512(Tekmar 512 heat/cool w sense)0 -
Thanks
I appreciate the info.

I agree
With the 512. Just make sure you play with it to get familiar, and set the T-stat dip switch to the user setting after your done to keep the homeowner from messing things up.

Yes
I have used tekmat tstats, but I was wondering about Wirsbo's non-Tekmar tstat.
So they don't anticipate radiant needs like the Tekmar ones do.

Sorry Ted
I misunderstood, sorry.
The Uponor A3030103 has the correct anticipation chip circuitry gizmo that will learn the response time of the radiant panel. And you can wire in a cooling system using the typical Rc, Y, and G terminals. I have dozens of these thermostats in and they are very reliable so far.

what about the 2 wire 101?

OOOPS
Ted, I am tired I should have said 102 for heat/cool.
Yes the 101 has the same anticipator.
I see it this way, why not use one T-stat for both? Two different t-stats on the same wall area to me does not look good. Of course some times the cooling stat and heating stat are better off being located in different locations, I guess.
