    We’re trying to nail down the loads on a pretty big job. We can't get through to their phone lines, very frustrating. The duct systems will be very tight.

    My questions are based on duct losses. We of course check “sealed”, but there is a big difference between “radial” and “trunk and branch” as far as losses go.

    On radial, the sensible heat gain factor is 22.2% If I click trunk and branch, it zooms up to 38.3%. Can anyone help me eliminate any possible fudge factor here? I do not wish to install bigger stuff than needed. Does anyone over ride these numbers to get a bit more realistic?

    Also, I have to admit I’m a bit chicken to use the ACCA recommended local outdoor design of 87*. We most certainly get 90 days for sometimes 10 days in a row, and hit 100 once in a while. Please comment at will, I’d love to use this factor to keep the sizing down but don’t want a nasty customer complaint.
