Crown Mega-Stor
Has anyone had any experience with these indirect water heaters?0 -
The only indirect I install. No problems to date. Not one unhappy homeowner with performance.

Like 'em
I think I have about 30 or so in over the years. Have always been very reliable, and I like the access cover for cleanout.
My only critisism is that the factory never seems to be able to line up the tappings. If running with straight pipe away from the water heater, not all the pipes will line up with each other.

MegaStor
I have been using the Crown Megastor for 15 years.
I had one project that we installed 15 MS 52s on.
All the Aquastat wells started leaking after a year.
Crown Had SS wells made and sent to me at no charge.
They now weld SS wells in when they are made.
It makes tons of hot water with low head pressure.
Top self product and top self company.

PS
Not only have I sold Crown for 15 years.
I have a Crown CT series boiler and a Crown MS-40
in my own house.....
And I have a ODV125 and a MS-52 being delivered tomorrow.

lining up
The pipes don't line up for a reason.
If you pipe the unit up to the ceiling the pipes won't run into each other.....
But you are right.. if you came straight off the unit they wouldn't line up..........

not sure
I don't think that they are staggered enough to install them straight up with out swing joint offsets, not sure how far out they would have to go to do that. Of course I have never tried, so you may be right for all I know.
Yeah, I have had the same experience with the brass wells. Since the change to welded stainless no problemo's.
Correct that I had a warranty leak on a bad weld on the outlet once, pic attached.
