Orders for HydroniCAD have been rolling in since yesterday morning and the CDs are rolling out the door starting tomorrow morning.
Thanks to those that have been patiently waiting for the release, and a special thanks to Hot Rod and Tom Wolfgang for their beta testing efforts. The program has been made even better by their suggestions.

Some \"beginner's\" examples
I'm not the most computer savy guy on the planet. Here is my third go add CAD drawing, so go easy on me:) I need to figure out getting the "stuff" from HydroniCAD onto this post?? The digital pic does not do the drawing justice.
This is a wood gasification boiler I am installing in my shop. A used 500 gallon LP tank for a buffer.
Check out www.hydronicpros.com Saturday morning for the HydroniCAD software. A,way fun tool.
I plan to load it on a laptop for on the job as builts, and as a troubleshooting tool to solve problem installs.

Way cool!
I like your creative distribution system! Did you insulate the LP tank?0 -
\"Print Screen\"
Hotrod,
Try this, when you are using the Hydronic-CAD program and you want a picture of it, Hit the "Print-Screen" key at the top of the keyboard- right next to the F12 key. This does not immediately print, but now you can open a Word Document and right click your mouse to paste that image. It will give you better clarity and probably will take less time that taking a picture and uploading it. Just a thought.
I do this a lot with Siggy's Hydronic Design Studio and also the "System-Syzer" wheel if I want to document flow rate, head, etc.
Regards,
PR

Screen Images
You can capture ANY screen image by pressing Ctrl+PrintScreen
Image will be copied into the clipboard and you can paste to any image editing software. (Usually you use the File--New command then just press "insert".) Then Save As to with your file name. Best to save as a .jpg file so you don't waste bandwidth with bitmaps (the screen image is a bitmap).
Example is attached. My screen is at 1600 x 1200 resolution, so it's rather large and won't display properly once it gets resized. If similar happens to yours, e-mail me the files and I'll convert them to .pdf for you.0 -

print to PDF?
For programs like this, a print/export to PDF capability is almost mandatory IMO. You want to be able to email things in a format that will go to a printer nicely as well as a screen.

Screen Dumps
I've always found the Gadwin tool to be perfect for this. Press the hotkey and the file is saved in the format you want (GIF, JPG, BMP) at the level you want (fullscreen, application window, form window, etc.)
It's priced right too (free).

What Boiler
is that HR?
I have an appointment at the US consulant on Monday. Am going to be meeting some people from Seattle who are looking for dealers up here in the great white north for their WGB. Greenwood Technologies.
Should be fun, no electronic devices of any type, and no pointy objects (when I was told that, I couldn't help but think about Monty Python!). Get to go through a security check prior to the meeting!
The Greenwood website, has links to most of their competitors. I thought this an intriguing sales pitch!
Love the "solar" distribution circle!!!!!

I spoke with the Greenwood
folks. Not a lot of technical help however. Doesn't look to be a gasification principle boiler. No emission or efficiency info available. I think that company recently changed hands?
The boiler pictures is from Poland www.eko-vimar.com.pl/
