shows a max operating temperature of 325° F.
Be interesting to see the spec sheet on the product they suggest?

is a requirement of a solar system that will be gracing to roof of my garage sometime this winter. Viessmann recommends the use of their Tyfocor Polypropylene product. Temps above 300 deg F can be expected - so the question is this - will generic glycols also handle these temps? Eventual system will be one H30 Vitosol, Divicon, a recycled 450 L horicell (used back arse wards, more on that later), GL 30 temp controller. Estimated capacity will be about 550 liters of solar storage - with the coil of the horicell then used for heat output to preheat DHW and supply low temp water to several StelRad panels in my office. The heating portion will be constant circ via monoflo tees and TRV's.0 -
thanks HR -
their product lists 302 deg F, mixed for -31 deg F. And whether I buy it from Viessmann or the local supplier - price is within a buck or two. Just thinking out loud - but to put a wrinkle in the discussion - system pressure will be 33 psi. What will that do to the mix? So if you have a pressure/% mix chart handy ... what will be my design boiling point?0 -
