what's my equiv. EDR for 26ft of 6\" baseboard & Arco thin tube
I'm trying to figure out the total output of all the radiators in my house. (Water system) Thanks to Dan's catalog of US Radiators in the Library the sq ft radiation per section was easy to figure.
In the basement though I have 26ft of 6" fin convection baseboard (1" copper pipe I believe). what's the formula for this (in square feet.
I also have an American Radiator thin tube in the kitchen: 4 tube, 25"H, 4.5" deep, 20 sections. On page 31 of Dan's book "How Come?" he has a diagram of a similar rad (his is 26"H) and the calculation for that slightly taller one is 2.75edr per section = 55edr which seems impossibly large for such a small radiator, given that my largest US radiator --3 Column, 22H, 9 wide, 20 sections @3sqft/sec = 60 EDR.
Thanks,
David0
