Any recommended radiator sanblasters/refinishers in NY area?

Hello,

I'd like compare prices on getting my steam radiators sandblasted and powdercoated vs. just getting them sandblasted and painting them myself with high temp enamel. Can anyone recommend someone in the NY area (I'm in Queens) for either just sandblasting or both sandblasting and powdercoating steam radiators? Thank you.

Best Regards,

Sean

You might try a monument company (tombstones) as they have a shop set up for blasting and may have some down time. As for painting the local auto body shop may be of help. Best Wishes J.Lockard

Thanks Jim, will make some calls tomorrow -

Calling a monument company on Halloween is quite appropriate!

I also found a couple of powdercoating businesses on LI and in Brooklyn that do a lot of automotive stuff, so now I've got a few options. Thanks again.

Call Buddy Loman Sandblasting in Lindenhurst, Long Island

They sandblast bridges and that, but they do a liitle blasting - on the side at their yard. They may paint but I don;t think so. Very reasonable less than $50 bucks for average rads when I last went last Year. Call Suffolk Info or email me and I'll dig upo his number. Mad Dog

Thanks, Mad Dog. They would have painted, but for about the same $, I'm going to get it blasted and powdercoated at Action Powdercoating. But it was nice to have options, so thanks for your information.

    radiator sand blasting

I would call Metal Man Restoration. He is located in Pelham, Westchester County, NY and is really good and is not over priced. He should be in the phone book.

not sure the name of the place...

when visiting my relatives in Queens i borrowed thier bicycle and found a masonry sales oufit that suprisingly did a group of sand blasting, the guy running the place sells brick and stone. he told me that he does more work sandblasting than anything else!....the place i think is out in Jamacia...i was asking about boilers radiators and cast iron bath tubs...
