... but you could raise or lower the steepness of the curve in small increments to see at what point the circulation becomes near constant without the need to switch the thermostat on permanently. Remember, the lower the curve number, the flatter the temperature response. You could also shift the curve up or down.

In an ideal world, each room would have the same amount of emitter relative to its heat loss, which would make one thermostat feasible. Insolation and other external factors though may bring that to naught. The thermostat has it's place, I'd keep it.

As far as calculating a curve, your best bet may be to start by doing a heat loss calculation for the house. Hopefully, the emitters will reflect the anticipated heat loss and largely require the same supply temperature. Now calculate the supply temperature requirements for several outdoor temperatures. Once you know what supply temperatures you need to hit for different outdoor temperatures, you can determine a curve that bisects those points.

    heating curve for Viessman vitogas100

I have a vitogas100 propane with vitocell79 gal DHW Live in Wi. Copper Fin Baseboard with outdoor reset. What would be the correct heating curve. Currently it is set at 1.4. Should it be higher. Would also like to set thermostats perm on to gain constant circulation. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks much
