Which vent rite main vent is equal to a gorton # 2? Are vent rites any good? Doesn't seem like any of the people on this site use them or recommend them. They are a lot easier for me to get than anything else.

As a tech I too would like to see the answer to this question. In my area Vent Rite is all that the supply houses we use carry.

    Vents

I would like to know to. Why are the gordon vents not as avialable as the ventrites. Anybody.

There is no vent available today that is equal

to the Gorton #2. I don't have the tables in front of me, but you would probably need at least ten of those little Vent-Rites to equal one Gorton #2. Nothing else comes close to the Gorton #2's capacity, that's why I like to use them.

As to the supply house problem, we find that all over. Many supply houses are tied to certain brands. You can always call Ken Kunz or Linda Mast at Gorton, 908-276-1323. They would know if anyone in your area does carry Gortons, or if no one does they will sell direct to you. One way or the other, you'll get your Gortons!

    FYI

Heat-Timer has their Vari-Valve that has the same flow (CFM) as the Gorton #2 (Use them for the mains in my house, work very well)and as they are 1/8" and adjustable they work well in other locations as well.
