Propress Gas piping

Yes, we've used it... our local Ferguson branch stocks both the water and gas fittings, and yes, it is a huge time saver. Just remember to use the yellow "Natural Gas" labels every 6 feet. Not many people are used to seeing gas run in copper yet. My guess is, unless copper continues to climb in price, we'll use more and more of it.

    Has anybody used the yellow propress fittings for gas piping. If so, is it as great as for water and where are you finding the fittings. Thanks for your help.

    Havent yet. I don't think Ma. has approved it for gas yet.

    seen it here in vt/nh with steel pipe on oil tank fill and vent. no one thinks it approved, but then no one checks squat up here for residential :(

    It is approved in Michigan, We are doing a new house with all Viega, Heating, water and gas.

    IN N.Y.C. we still use real pipe. anything over 2 " is welded. the utilities use plastic underground but that is another story,cuz.

    Pro-Press is legal in NJ. You just have to show the local inspectors the approvals.

    Anything till its in all the other states first and new technolgy is all ready replacing it elsewhere....
