Direct vent Steam boiler?

I believe Burnham makes a DV steam boiler. If it's a 2 pipe system think about leaving the rads & switching to a water condensing boiler!

venting options for steam boilers
I'm interested in updating steam boilers to direct vent to eliminate chimneys. Does anyone know of a direct vent boiler? Alternately, can I use a power venter?
Thanks0 -
Found it thanks. Can you direct me to an explanation of your other suggestion about the water boiler? Pros? Cons?
Thanks again0 -
Every once in a while
someone comes on here pushing the conversion of steam systems to hot water. That's what "j" was talking about. I've seen some of these conversions that were disasters, and I certainly will not put my customers in that position. These conversions can be a liability lawyer's dream.

It is much more cost-effective and less risky to fix a steam system than to try to convert it. One of my customers saved 36% on her oil consumption when we fixed up her one-pipe steam system, and stands to save more than that this season with the addition of thermostatic radiator valves.
