Sometimes it is just as simple to have a local metal shop fabricate replacement covers in various lengths

new covers for old baseboard heaters

Anyone know where I can buy replacement metal baseboards for my 30 year old house. Most are dented, too short or too rough to deal with. The inside bits, water line and finns seem fine. Any help would be great

    I D the BB

you may have to look up a lot of BB manufactures to ID what you have, then it should be easy. OR call a "Find a Profrssional" and have him ID it for you. Your time is worth $$$ and so is the "Professional" It is usually cheaper to psy for help, than learn and pay for DIY

Try Radiantwraps.com. These are designed to fit over your existing wall plates. You just take off the covers and brackets and side pieces so all that is left is the backplate and the fins. These slip on right over the backplate and look great. I am slowly replacing all my covers in my house. The look great and are heavy gauge steel. I wont lie, they are not cheap but are so simple and easy to put in yourself. I highly recommend them.

    Baseboard Covers

are available from Home Depot. The standard old style is called a Number 30 (I forget the manufacturer). If not that one there os one other type. Best to take just an end cap with you to Home Depot or Blackman Plumbing (or whatever Major Plumbing Supply House in your area) They can match it up for you. They are available in stock lengths. The only pain is CAREFULLY removing the back plate portion from the sheetrock wall without destroying the wall :-)..

I've seen the covers Troy is talking about. They look great!

    Congrats on selling the equipment.
