Valve Hissing

Having a problem with 1 radiator hissing and of course it is the one in my bedroom. The vaporstat was replaced last spring, verified settings are 0.5 and diff of 1. All vents (including 3 mains in a 1 pipe system) in the house are less than 1 year old and have been removed and cleaned but can not get this one to be quiet. Any recommendations appreciated!

I have the same problem...also just posted...did you find an answer to this hissing problem yet? mine is more of a whistling sound than hissing...thanks, ellis0 -
hissing vent
Cleaning a vent doesn't mean it's OK. If it hisses continuously during boiler cycles, it's bad and needs to be replaced. It should only hiss slightly until the steam gets there, then stop.

Main problem turned out to be all the vent needed was some teflon tape around the threads. Half the hissing was from the valve the other half from vent. Sound is now tollerable. Good luck to you.0
