Steam main air removal?

Just wanted to make sure these numbers are correct.

100' of 2 1/2" pipe = 3.32 cubic feet of air.

50' of 1 1/2" pipe = .71 cubic feet of air.

40' of 1 1/2" pipe = .54 cubic feet of air.

110' of 2 1/2" pipe = 3.32 cubic feet of air.

Also does any one have information on Gordon #2 so I can determine how many vents we need for each main?

Jamie

The only error I can see

is that 100 feet of 2-1/2" is 3 cubic feet even, not 3.32. Everything else looks great.

I'll second Paul, get Gerry and Steve's charts. The cost of $10.00 is very reasonable and it all goes to charity.

You can see the results of using these charts in my All Steamed Up/Calvert Court posting. They were much more accurate than anything I've seen including my old ones. We had to do a bit of fine-tuning, that's to be expected- but the amount of fine-tuning was lower than on any previous job.
