Burnham Minutemann II

Looked at a property that had a Burnham Minutemann II Boiler that does heat and hot water. The Boiler is rated at 105000 input but the Heatloss came in at about 38000.
How efficient is this method of heating? I was wondering if it was worth replacing with a Slant Finn Victory and a seperate indirect.
The unit works fine but seems to produce an awful lot of heat within the closet it is in?

Probably
not the highest efficiency (80%), but it's going to cost quite a few thousand to replace it..........manybe a 20 yr. payback depending on future energy costs.
We installed one about 20 years ago; heavy buggers.
