Well, I said I said I would let my fellow wallies know...

when I found a new job. I am now working for a small, but quickly growing company. Quite a switch from the monster union company I was at, but a worth while one. I actually officially started on 10-3-05, but my new boss Wayne has had me so busy I haven't had time to post or even read The Wall. Even tho I am a service tech, my duties will be installations as well as service depending on the schedule. So far I have installed two Buderus GB142 condensing boilers (these things are SWEET), two furnace changeouts, one furnace, A/C, and ductwork changeout, and one ductwork only changeout, plus a couple of cleanings in between. Wayne has also told me there are three more GB142's coming up.

The best part is Wayne offered me comperable pay and benifits, which is something it took me 5 weeks to find. I did learn finding pay comparable to what I was receiving in my area for a residential tech is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Well if I'm going to be doing installs, I'm going to have to get a camera so I can have the install experts here help me to improve my work and rusty install skills.

Also, a big THANK YOU to all who provided words of encouragement, a prayer, or a positive thought 5 weeks ago. I assure you they were quite helpfull. Now I just have to get the finances back on course, and all will be well with the Harrison's.

    Thanks again to all,

Glenn Harrison, now of Jett's Heating and Air. McHenry, Illinois.

    Glenn

The good workers will always be in demand and I'm not surprised you are where you are. Maybe the change was God's way of telling you to refresh, reinvigorate, and do what you really should be doing.

All my best to you and your family.

    Congrats, Glenn.....

....Like the others have already said, there was never a question of "if," only "when."

Your employer is lucky to have you - so don't let him forget it!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Sorry I didn't get back sooner.

As I said Wayne has had me quite busy, and my Wall time has been cut way back.

I just wanted to say thanks again to all who responded. You guys are the best!
