is the way to go,use only a 10 micron filter. Motor oil filters are not the same. Dave

    SCREW ON OIL FILTER QUESTION

Hello all-Just a quick question.. I have a screw on Garber oil filter and was wondering are there any other OIL FILTERS that would work or do i have to buy a Garber? I was told that there are some WIX filters that are used on some trucks for Diesel fuel and they work fine.. I figured i would ask the pros first!! :) Thanks so much..... MIKE.......LI

    Try Sid Harvey's

If you do not have a Sid Harvey's near you,

I am sure that you could find a auto type filter to do the job, but I have never looked into it because the Garber's are available at almost any supply house here. Maybe someone else here can advise you further

    Right, and stay with a

Garber cartridge to protect Listing and warranty. Auto filters are not listed to comply with Building Codes, FACT!

    oil filters

Auto oil filters usually have a bypass so that the oil can get thru the filter if it is plugged. This would not be a desirable characteristic for a home heating oil system.
