How difficult is it to tap plugs on a cast iron radiator?.What would be the best method?

exact size quality brand new drill bit. oil. correct sharp tap. experience. practice on scrap iron or you might destroy your radiator. best of luck & TAKE YOUR TIME.0 -

use a hand drill or a power drill that is barely turning. This is where a steady hand is most important and speed truly destroys.0 -

sharp bit and tap, and drill slow. Good cast iron is soft and drills and taps easily. I have done it many times over the years. I usually use pro-poxy on the threads or Xpando just to be on the safe side0
