know of an on line energy calculator for HVAC that I could recommend to homeownwers. I did a google search yesterday and found little. It seems to me it would be a good tool for educating customers of the benefits of high efficiency. WW

I finally figured out my Wrightsoft

software. There was a field that needed to be changed to get the accurate heat pump prices with fossel fuel backup. A typical house with 3 ton cooling load and 65000 btu heating load can save 500 a year using a heat pump on top of their 80% furnace. If you upgrade the furnace to 90% nstead you will save about 300 per year. If you do both you will save about 700 per year.
