I went to the factory for their training last week. I put some thoughts together and it is floating a few posts down, but is still an active thread. I was totally impressed.

this looks cool

after reading over the info on the new Knight boiler from Lochinvar, I'm very curious about it. Anybody got any feelings about this thing or comparisons to the other modulating/condensing units out there? Seems to come with lots of ability for tweaking and data gathering. Also, how does Lochinvar compare with other boiler makers as far as quality issues and standing behind their products?

All perspectives are greatly appreciated.

Lochinvar is a family owned company that is several generations old. I have used their products for years and have seen the new and modern factory outside of Nashville, TN. They are in it for the long term and make long term decisions.

This is a truly world class company with supurb product lines and state of the are engineering and quality control.

This Knight is new, but looks like a well thought out product. Time will tell, but this company will back the product if there any glitches and work toward continuous improvement. This is the way they do business.

I would fully expect the Knight product line be expanded to larger sizes over time. Very high effeciency hot water boilers is the future of hydronics.

This company and their products will be on the leading edge of hydronics for a long, long time.
