possible radiant leak under hardwood floor- need help
however, It's rather unlikely that the PEX tubing snapped inside of the Climate Panel/Quik-Trak will only leak when in the heated state. If you are able to see under the T&G sub-floor and see no indication of moisture or staining in that area, I'd be very sceptical it's the heat at all. This coupled with the fact that you are holding pressure without the use of an auto feeder. Anyone you know that could have had an accident and didn't tell you about it?
If you isolate the distribution system and put it under some real pressure, say 60-120 PSI the leak should show itself.

possible radiant leak under hardwood floor - need help
New construction home with 5/16" pex in quick-track under hardwood floor. Heating system ran all last winter with no problems and shut off heat source in April leaving pressure of 14 lbs in system. Last week noticed slight water damage to section of hardwood floor (slight bubbling/cracking of area 3'X 3'). Looked up at subfloor from underneath but no visible signs of water. The pressure has not changed in 5 months and the water feed to this closed system has been shut off the whole time. Could this pex be leaking only when system is warm and pex expands a possible nail hole ? Any ideas for locating leak so I can fix from below ?0 -
some leaks caused by power staplers can \"take awhile\"....
until the staple or wire nail disintergrates ...a small piece of plastic sheating th size of a grocery bag left over the suspect pinner leak might show itself over night as what looks like condensate or translucentcy on the plastic.0
