Is there a difference between circulating the water from a wood add on boiler to the oil boiler? The existing piping circulated the water from the top of the wood boiler to the top of the oil boiler out the bottom of the oil boiler to the bottom of the wood boiler. When a zone would call for heat you had the hot water circ pushing the water out the top of the boiler and the wood circ pushing it into the top of the oil boiler.did not make much sence to pipe it that way.I like to run the wood circ all the time when there is hot water being made from the wood boiler from a aquastat of the top of the wood boiler. When the aquastat sences the hot water it turns on the circ untill there is no more hot water being produced.
