Stackable Munchkin ?

Tony_23

Seems like I've seen a Munchkin mounted on a IDWH.

I have a request for a quote for high efficiency and DHW and am tight on floor space. (whattaya mean it won't fit)

The HTP site doesn't show any horizontal IDWH's.

TIA,

Tony

stacked one on Buderus LT horizontal indirect. The tank is made to withstand the weight of the oil fired G115 series, so a Munchie wouldn't even be noticed.

Maybe Scott or JCA have the pics and can post them again.

    Mount on top

of any vertical IDHW tank. Some angle or unistrut makes a wall or floor mount. Puts them up a bit high for service, but they never break down :)

    how about

If you can't find a stackable find a real short tank and build a stand over it to support and bang your set plus if the tank goes you won't have to remove the boiler to replace just drain it and slide her out .A buderus s120 tank is only 37 high but connection are on the top could try there st120 tank it may even be shorter and the connection are in the rear of the tank ,in my opion there tanks are quite good at least the best i've used .I believe there hortizontal tanks have a slightly smaller output .I've used ther tanks with munchkins and found them to work quite good better then the htp superstore sorry guys no offense i love munchkins but i love thoses buderus indirect connection in the rear really neates things up . peace and good luck clammy

    How about....

Something like this? Were lucky enough to have the homeowner stop by on the day before installation. He took a few measurements and this beatifully crafted and powder coated custom stand was delivered the next day. It doesn't hurt that he custom fabricates things from metal for a living !

Unfortunately, this is a one off production, but if memory serves me....The HTP site had a photo of a Munchkin 80 standing right on top of a 40 gallon Super Stor in a boiler room. Chris

    I should've noted, also

That it's for a small laundromat w/ a hydrocoil for heat.
I'm hesitant to use too small an indirect, although he uses a B-W 80 gal w/ 200kbtuh burner now, and it's recovery is only 187 gph. Like I said, it's small.
That B-W also does the hydrocoil, but that will change :)
The floor space is 2'6x5 ft. and headroom is choked off about 6'4. I just fit :)

    Thanks

My Munchkin source also sells Buderus. Just need the recovery rate.

Oh, hey, what's that orange curvy thing connected to the gas cock ? :)

The orange curvy thing is Wardflex gas pipe (stainless steel corrugated line). Much faster (and easier) than black pipe. Go to www.buderus.net for any info on the indirects. Happy Installing!

    Indirect

The reason that the Munchkin site does not show a horizontal tank is because HTP makes Super Stor tanks. Although the tanks are among the best in the industry there is currently no horizontal Super Stor tank available.
The boiler is rated 0 clearance to combustables, so a sheet of 3/4 in plywood makes a great platform on top of a Super Stor tank.
