indirect or outdoor reset
I would go with the indirect . If you have a triple aquastat , you can keep the boiler temp much lower than with a coil . Only on a call for hot water or heat would the temp rise in the boiler .

Indirect or Outdoor Reset
Like everyone else I am trying to save on energy costs. I dont have the budget to do both an outdoor reset and an indirect water heater this year. What do you guys think ought to be this years project; replace the coil with an indirect or go with the outdoor reset and leave the indirect for next year.
Thanks for your expertise0 -
if you have...
a tankless coil on your boiler you can't do outdoor reset. You won't be able to get enough hot water if you drop the boiler temp....I would do the Indirect....kpc
