steam convector

I'm currently sizing a steam job that is a one pipe steam convector system. The only writing I could find on the convectors is on a special fitting that says Simplexconvectorfin. I could not find this in Dan's EDR book for sizing so I plan on just using something close in size to size the boiler. My question is that will this be ok and is there a preference on boiler manufacture or near boiler piping when the system has convectors? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

That should work fine
The boiler selection doesn't depend on the type of radiation, use the same sizing procedure as for cast-iron. Near-boiler piping should be done to the manufacturer's specs, as always. Be sure you have properly-sized main vents too. If you aren't sure, measure the length and diameter of each steam main and we can tell you what's needed.0
