Nice clean install. Beautiful layout.

Not to be a pain in the butt, but is that a LWCO mounted below the boiler?

What does it protect?

Don't munchkins have a pressure switch that serves the lwco function?

Why is it there? To make some inspector happy? :)

Installed this one this week with the vision one reset but i'm waiting for my indirect tank from my supplier .I used the v1000 vent kit and basically re located all the boiler piping from the other side of the basement .The original system was a steam single pipe but radds where removed then the boiler was converted to hot water and a air handler with a hot water coil was installed .There was an addition added and some baseboard zones added here and there. The steammer that was converted finally died in the begining of the summer she was leaking and it kinda destroyed the burner assembly plus the chimmey wasn't in the greatest shape on a outside wall sharing the brick work with a old fireplace with a large offset getting a liner kit down it would have been a headache and possiblly impossible with out damaging the liner so the munchkin fit nicely into the picture .Peace clammy

Are those Honeywell or Erie zone valves?

Does the condensate in the bucket drain into the condensate pump or visa versa?

    Nice work

    Clammy,

What can I say, you make our product look good. However, I do know it is the installer, anything you installed would have looked good. Very Nice.

Al, we install, at the factory, a water pressure switch. It is not designed to be, nor can it take the place of a LWCO.

Thanks again Clammy, you bring credit to us all.

The zone valves are honeywell and part of the manifold with the valves where re used to save a little money to the HO plus two of them where about 2 seasons old that being said i would have rather have just did new valves and not re used the header. The valves are on the supply and there is a 1/2 by pass line with a globe valve on it .The units condensate drains into a bucket which is a homemade condensate neutralizer tank it drains into the condesate pump ,most of the plumbing in the home has been replaced but the waste line from the street to first entering the home is about 85 years old so better off safe then sorry .Below the boiler is a mc donald miller rb122 lwco it is code i install them on every boiler i install other wise i don't install the boiler period .I,ve seen HO do some quite stupid things plus the munckin use a pressure switch it serves the same purpose but i like a little extra cause it beats saying sorry .It is wired to break all line voltage to the unit thanks for the kind words peace clammy

    What type of heat

Clammy is this a high temp baseboard system with zone valves? Why use a munchkin ? ( condensing boiler), how much do you really save instead of a standard gas power vented cast iron boiler, seems that with out low return water temp the higher priced condensing munchkin is miss applied, am I off the mark?. As usual your piping is exceptional.

    modulation

jim even though this is not a low temp system the boiler doesn't short cycle because of the modulation and i have a few systems out there that are using baseboardand the HO have seen there gas bills nearly cut in half and off the top most used regular hwh with the indirect tanks they have seen a minuim of 20 to 30 bucks on gas comsumpition less in the summer then usual and these units are very quite the pvc venting is cheaper and quiter then most power vent system plus most can be reset for most of the shoulder months .In my mind this isn't a mismatch of the equiptment it,s a smart way to save of your gas bill .As always i do recommned that they add insulation and tightenn up there homes envople to cut there fuel comsumpition even more .As for saving money it's cheaper to use a munchkin then a cast iron and then buy a priority set up and a reset controller and then have to worry about return temps and condensation peace and thanks for thekind words peace clammy
