thanks for your reply Don. my idea was to change the fintube to cast/rads this would give me the operating water temp of 140* with a 30*delta T. I could condense good with 110* return .I have installed aTekmar 260 with indoor sensor i intend set up constant circ, but this is all relatively new to me I am in the commercial refrigeration field in NYC,
Thanks again for your help

Hello everyone Last season I installed a munchkin 80m to existing three zones (3 floors)of fin tube baseboard I kept the water temp around 165* to encourage condensing return temp 145*. I was considering changing the two living zones to panel rads/cast baseboard to lower water temp and leave the bedroom zone intact. Is there a better way to max condensing
thanks for your thoughts0 -
whats
going to happen when it gets colder outside, going back to turn it up to 180?
I would say get the control package thats make the boiler do just what you are trying to do.
However if you're like me you dont have that chance, being they still have yet to have a class in my area.

If you install enough fintube
you can heat the house with cooler water. Take the heat-loss calc data to see how many BTUs each room needs and size your baseboard from that using a max temp of 150 or so at design conditions.
Or, you can add insulation, weatherstripping etc where needed and the house won't need as much heat, so the water temp will be lower.0
