not a very "www" answerable question. Footing size, soil conditions below the footing, weight, point loads, etc really need to be addressed by a structural engineer.

There has been a rash of collapsed deck stories in the news and trade mags lately. Becareful this is a question for a pro :)

    \"Walls\" for other trades?

Does anyone know of any other "Wall" type sites out there for other construction trades? I am specifically looking for some information on the load bearing capacity of conceret sonotubes in anticipation of adding a hot tub to a deck.

I cannot seem to find any other sites like this where I can type in a question and get a reply as is done here. Anyone know of such sites for general construction questions?

    Thanks
