The wet return main is a likely place to find leaks.

I have a 2 pipe steam boiler, and have noticed that I lose water about every week I have to refill the boiler in the winter, I think it is from the valves on the boiler, the ones that turn each radiator off, because when the boiler is up and running the valves will seap steam around the rod, where can I buy new ones or do they make rebuild kits.

Am I also losing too much water?

    repack or replace

repack valve stems with graphite or teflon and you are good for the next fifty years. cost repack=pennies replace=hundreds

    Repack

The valves more likely than not have a hex nut on the neck. You can unscrew/loosen the nut and put some graphite packing (which you can get at a plumbing supply store) around the neck. Put the hex nut back on, tighten, and check.

I've had valves like that leak, but the don't lose enough steam to need refilling the boiler so often. Perhaps your leakage is more severe than mine was. You might want look elsewhere for possible leaks.

    Crank it down, perhaps?

Are you running the boiler at an extraordinarily high pressure, like anything more than 1 to 2 PSI?

Systems were usually built with a design operating pressure of 0.5 PSI. Any more is not only unnecessary, but often a source of problems.

Higher pressure makes for higher output leaks.

This might take care of the excessive leakage.
