This is nothing that I did, folks

It looks like a software glitch. I'll inform Invision.

In the meantime, please delete the HeatingHelp.com and Invision Forums cookies from your PC and start over. Your user name and password would be something that you make up. It's been there since the very first day.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    how to delete cookies

    Scott

in internet explorer (IE) on the browser, click Tools on the menu list, then select the bottom choice Internet Options. It should open to the General Tab press delete cookies button.

If you're using Firefox (aka Mozilla), again click the Tools on the menu list, then select Options. Go to the Privacy (lock) and click Clear button next to cookies.

    hope this helps

    Despair.........

Is there an incantation to bring back one's tagged threads?

While I am at it, is it possible to get the group traffic off line like a conventional news group? This would give one a backup in those cases where the tags get hosed (which seems to be the bottom line for most glitches in the Invision software)

    Thanks.....

Dan, it may be helpfull to know.......

I am wondering if that is dependant upon whether or not they actually reregistered. In my case a box popped up asking if I was "I don't recall" which certianly wasn't me so I followed the yellow brick road to get signed up.

I had seen the threads about the problem but didn't get the prompt until just after midnight last night. The tags disappeared right then......

    Thanks.... Bob

    Yes

that would do it. If the sofware thinks you're someone else then it's not going to show you your cookie, which is what saves the bookmarks. This will also happen if you delete the cookies. Sorry, Bob.
