Leslie Valves

Does anyone know the capacity of a 5" Leslie valve, pneumatic actuator, model DBY-17(?), ANSI 250 flanged, 125 PSI inlet, 15 PSI outlet. I don't know how old this valve is, it could be quite old.
Looking for Cv or lbs/hr.
Thanks
Jim

I'll...
... bet that it's a real oldie. Not much in the way of 5" control valves in years & years, because the petro-chem industry doesn't use 1-1/4", 2-1/2" or 5" pipe. But that industry does use a LOT of control valves.
I did a quick calculation using somebody elses 4" and 6" control valves (the Cv's are usually pretty close for the same size of valve) I'd guess something like 34,000 #/hr. See if you can check what the steam demand really is. Lots of control valves are WAY oversized, right from Day One, many more USED to be right size when they were originally installed, but the load has dropped, sometimes a LOT.0
