Ductulator

in THE MAIN WALL
Does anyone know where to find a ductulator (sp?) or something similar on line to help me size some duct work?

    www.acca.org...may I suggest the manual D system and application.Also understanding the friction chart is a good read as well.

    keep in mind that all duct are not the same,so when using
    ductulator you want to have the one for the material you are
    using.

    Also keep in mind that most ductulator are base on fiction
    loss per 100 ft.All duct system are not the same,just as all
    duct material are not the same.

    Also if you get into the habit of doing a friction worksheet
    per job,you'll find not only do you offer a better distribution system,but you have the math to address any issue as well.

    Acca sells a nice one that will also give you the cfm ratings for flex and duct board if you run into it. It is a circular dial type and sells for about $40.00.

    All the majors have them available-Lennox, Trane, Carrier, York,etc., as well as the RSES, ACCA, SMACNA, duct materials suppliers, HVAC suppliers,etc. Your local supply house should be able to get you one.
